Common Core State Standards (CCSS) — Knobee Math and ELA Study Tools
Knobee generates Algebra, Geometry, and English Literature study content aligned to the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for grades 7–12.
What are the Common Core State Standards?
CCSS are K–12 standards in Mathematics and English Language Arts adopted by the majority of US states. They define grade-level expectations for what students should know and be able to do. For high school math, CCSS organizes content by domain: Algebra, Functions, Geometry, Statistics and Probability, and Number and Quantity.
Three key mathematical shifts — and how Knobee addresses them
Focus: fewer topics taught more deeply. Knobee generates content that prioritizes the major work of the grade. Coherence: standards build intentionally year over year. Knobee's grade-level calibration connects to prior knowledge. Rigor: conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and application. Knobee generates all three types.
CCSS ELA key shifts
Building knowledge through content-rich nonfiction. Reading and writing grounded in evidence from the text. Academic vocabulary instruction (Tier 2 and Tier 3 words). Knobee's ELA flashcards and quizzes target all three shifts.
